I think they will, and soon. It’s just funny that after all this, this is how it comes out... Pretty bizarre. Does show just how tight the organization has become though, and that’s good.

Also, the rumo red # is 6.9 million, because of course. Nice:)

Lol at 6. 9, but that seems like about where they ought to be on him. I assume it’s only 1 or 2 years. They have others to sign long term first.

You’re probably right. 2 is too short, but I can’t see them going long term, so 4 is reasonable.

I just hope it’s a signing and not a trade ( Leafs are my 2nd favorite team because reasons).

Just hope they don’t emulate the Canucks:  get everyone excited, then vanish when the heat is on.  I’ve seen that a few times.

I am surprised by the Wings lately. I was in Detroit last week and attended a game, they were showing life. That was always “my team” when I was younger, even on the west coast, as I liked their game. Kind of different between now and the 90s.

Personally I think the Wings have a few more tough years ahead of them... but there’s at least life there. The Atlantic is going to be an absolute dogfight in a couple years.

Definitely. I think they could be moving from painful to mediocre now, and that can be a big deal.  Being mildly competitive is a win in itself, sometimes.  Another cool part is that it makes for cheap tickets - $28 for 14th row, I remember paying more than twice that for Canucks tickets 20 years ago.
